Other times of need
The most often talked about support relates to the death of a loved one (e.g. shiva calls - read about how to make one)
However, there are other times when Minyan members can expect community support. Here are some examples, but you may have a situation which is not listed here but for which you feel Minyan support would be helpful.
Help during a happy time
- at Bat or Bar Mitzvah celebrations where there is a second service or a self-catered kiddush (requests for this type of support will come directly from the simcha family and their "team.")
- cooking for a family who has a new baby.
Help during a challenging time
- Divorce
- Illness or bereavement
If you'd like the Minyan's help getting through a tough time (or you'd like to suggest that the Minyan help someone), just get in touch with one of the Chesed Committee members.
