Assistance after having a baby

To welcome newborn babies and adopted children into the community, we coordinate minyan volunteers who provide meals for new parents. Usually meals are provided twice a week for appoximately one month, but this is a guide. As we plan the meal coordination, we talk with each family to create a schedule that best fits the family's needs, and we obtain detailed information about dietary needs and Kashrut. See also Meal Matching.

The New Baby Meals Coordinator arranges for meals for families with new babies and children.

Your weekly assignments

If you are expecting or adopting a baby please let the Calendar Coordinator know. You will be taken off the assignment list for the last few weeks before, and the first few months after the birth/adoption.

NOTE: The Chesed Committee also works to provide support at other times of need for minyan families.
